A State Security Court (SSC) in Jordan on Wednesday acquitted a defendant who was charged with recruiting people to fight with armed groups in Syria by sending messages over social media. The allegation was later found to be fake, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

 

The defendant had “liked” the text and wanted to send it to a friend for humour, but he mistakenly sent it to another person who reported him to the security bodies, which resulted in his arrest.
